In 2010,,jan 20 MNP(moblie number portability) scheme was introduced by idea network..
whenever a user is not satisfied with their current tariff plans and rates of network provider,the user can switch to another network provider with the same mobile number just by paying 19 rupees .However the user reamins in three months in same network provider after applying after the MNP.
It also allow to switch over another network wihin the same specific area(ie chennai zone to chennai only).
